OVERVIEW

Product design can be defined as the ideation, concept development, testing, analysis and production/manufacturing or

implementation of a new product to a client or market.

l

As qualified Product Designers we are skilled in problem solving and lateral thinking.  We conceptualize & evaluate ideas

in a very systematic manner aiming to produce a tangible solution quickly and effectively.

l

It is becoming increasingly vital for manufacturers to implement good design in their products to gain a competitive edge

in their chosen markets.  We provide clients with the creativity and innovation to achieve this.

GAS FIRE CONCEPT

This concept was developed for a heating manufacturer. The scope of this
project included researching the requirements of the international market it
was being sold into, concept development and prototype fabrication drawings.
and files - It was then handed over to their production engineering team.

AQUATIC GPS + 2 WAY RADIO

In order to design a product well, we must primarily understand
the user group and the end-use environment.  This conceptual
GPS compatible 2-Way radio was designed for use in aquatic
environments including personal water-craft, kayaks and yachts.
The environment greatly influenced its design features – Durable
water-proof casing, rubber grips and buttons and a highly visible
colour.  As with any product that requires human interaction,
ergonomics were also a strong design consideration.

OFFICE PARTITION

This partition system was developed in close partnership with the client and they provided all of the marketing direction.

This left us to sort the details in close conjunction with their own Product Designer.  With over 25 separate co-dependent

extrusions being used in the entire system, it was critical that these relationships were closely examined. 3D CAD provided

assistance in many cases but the Rapid Prototyping of the extrusions was invaluable in determining geometric constraints

of mating parts and providing a vital step before signing off on production tooling.

These small plastic components were developed as part of this system to cap extrusion sections.  For these parts we were

responsible for the development, prototyping and manufacturing.
